This is the fastest I've completed a project...nothing like the birth of a baby to inspire completion! My first two hand-quilted projects were wall hangings. This my first quilt totally hand quilted. I've found that once I got the hang of it, I really enjoy it. I found a butterfly stencil and used it for the butterfly in each corner.
It is beautiful! I love the soft colors and the way you quilted it. Baby will love it. And it does look soft. Great job! !

What a comfort knowing how this new baby will feel all wrapped up in it...and what a good feeling to know that it is hand quilted and that makes it very special...Someone once told me that butterflies were a symbol of new birth...How appropriate for your quilt...I love the colors that you chose too. Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I finally got it in the mail yesterday. This one was made for my nephew's first baby, Eva Juliette, born on June 5th, and named after her two grandmothers. I've been asked to make another just like it for a friend's daughter whose baby girl is due on October 18th.
