Several woman on the retreat had these little tables. They were so great. They are garage sale wood TV Tables that they put 100% cotton towels on then heat release fabric they got at Joann's. Then stapled the cover to the table on the bottom. They fold up flat so you can take them with you where ever you go. These were so handy to use. You could also use this to hold you pieces that you are about to sew. Or put your cutting mat on so it is really handy. This quilter had a small iron so it did not take up to much space.
I plan on doing this for a Christmas gift to my favorite quilting friends. u could also use this to hold you pieces that you are about to sew.
Nora, another idea for hubby to make, so you could sell them.
What a great idea! Thanks Sue.......I got to go get him! ........................................
Well, I made one for me. Also have all the stuff to make 2 more of each of my quilting friends I go on retreat with. Hopefully will get them done Thurs. because we are going on a Shop Hop Sat. and would love to give them it then.
They will be so useful, iron on, put a cutting mat on top or just use it to hold your pieces before you sew them together. I was going to give them these for Christmas, but couldn't wait. We are going on a retreat in Nov. so I wanted them to have it for then.
I gave my sewing friends their tables and they love them. I went sewing with them this past Sunday, and they had their tables with them and worked great.
I am going on a sewing retreat this weekend and will be bring it with me.
Great table to give you extra space.
It cost me about $5.00 to make each one, one of my quilting friends saw the same thing in a magazine for $55.00. That is sooo much money.
Thank you, this is a great idea! I was looking for a little ironing board for on the table, but this is much better.
