Has anyone done any fabric painting? Can you share what's required, what paints, brushes/tools, fabrics work better or worse, what supplies are needed, and how to prepare for fabric painting? I'm about to take a class in this (the 28th). I went to Joann's today & caught a 30% off sale & decided I'd buy some of my own supplies. I'd heard the instructor's paints weren't easy to sew through. Whether these will be better, I have no idea. Plus I bought some sponge applicators, a few small brushes, and a few fat quarters of white & beige. Plus, a plain tote bag I thought might be 'paintable'. I bought only matte type fabric paints to start with - maybe for some flowers, birds or landscape type pictures. I haven't painted in so long, I've got to think about subjects! Probably I'll use some old photographs for ideas.
