A couple of people have dropped out of the green block exchange. For those of you who have already mailed your blocks, I will mail the extra blocks back to you. If you haven't mailed your blocks yet, you might want to wait till next week and see if anyone else joins or drops out of the exchange. As of right now, the count is at 8.
Hi Pam. I don't know if anyone else would be interested in this or not. But I made extras of my own blocks. Instead of sending back two of my own....it might be fun to get more of someone else's. I wouldn't mind getting two blocks from one person.
I agree with Judy, I'm making more than is needed too!! and since I haven't sent mine, I can send a few extra for that purpose!!
If anyone sends extra blocks, I'll just distribute them evenly to others. I made extra too, so you may end up with one of mine!
8 participating and send 10 to get extra........right?
I made 11 so I'll exchange a couple of my extra ones tool If you made 11, send em! I'll fix ya up!
Hi Pam, I'll be getting to the blocks in the coming week & will send to you as soon as they're done. I haven't been on the site for awhile, since getting a message that something was wrong with auto-emails, or something like that.
We went to Sonora RV'ing over the past weekend. Had my first golf lesson, then went a little further up the hill & it was snowing! Visited my old college & went to Columbia State Park (Mother Lode/gold country history). And, I bought some WONDERFUL Civil War repro fabrics (not in my budget, but oh well!). Took a fabric painting class yesterday & already put lots of 9-patch type blocks all around it & finished it as a wallhanging. And, I got my Shiba quilt done for a friend. Turned out real nice - fabrics right from Japan!
Busy, busy. This weekend I've got a conference to go to for 3 days (I don't want to miss church though, so....may not make the 3rd day).
During the week, I'll do the 8+ blocks for the swap.
I'll check out what's been going on on AOQ since I've been away. I hope everyone is well & staying away from any flu bugs!!
Sounds like you've been very busy!! I was gone last weekend too, went to an alumni chorus reunion. The college was celebrating 50 years and there were members from the chorus from every year there to perform a joint concert - over 300 voices. It was awesome and fun to see some old classmates from uh hum, (clearing throat) 37 years ago. Did a little sewing and a little fabric shopping myself! I LOVE civil war repro fabrics and I have a good collection for a Dear Jane quilt I'm making. The painting class sounds like fun. That's something I've never done. RV'ing also sounds like fun! We camp, but in a tent : ( Someday maybe we'll have a camper. The older I get the less I enjoy tent camping! LOL Sounds like you have a busy week coming up too. Have fun at your conference and I'll be looking forward to seeing your green blocks!!
Spring we are all so busy doing great things, being outside and just enjoying our world. I love reading about your other lives meaning not quilting. We are hoping to go to the Vermont Quilt show in Mid June, Boston to visit my brother in law and then to NYC for a few days of enjoying the city. Now I'm not so sure about going. I take Embrel, that reduces my immune system, so I would be at higher risk. Will have to see how this flu will run its course.
I've looked on this site to see where I can send my blocks but can't find the address. Pam, I know you posted it once (I saw it) but would you mind posting it again? Is everyone sending in 10 then? I'll be glad to do the same.
We have decided it would be best not to have the addresses showing on the web site. So if you need an address to send the blocks, send a private message and the person will send you back with the address with another private message. Just trying to be more on the safe side.
That makes sense to me. Thanks for the help.
