Hi. If I am not mistaken, one year ago today was the first post on this site. Sue and I were chatting one day in the chat room, and I believe she told me that the first post was on Aug. 13, 2008. I marked it on my calendar so that I could remember.
So a HUGE thank you, to the creator MadMan.....and another HUGE thanks to the inspiration behind the site. Sue. And to Wendi.....thanks for sharing Mike with all of us.
I have learned some great new tips from this site. I will have some great quilts from the block exchanges, if I ever finish them. ;)
But best of all, is the friendships I have made here. Some I have never met, but that doesn't diminish how much you have come to mean to me. And for the ones I met.......it was such a pleasure.
So as a tribute to AllOurQuilts......everyone should go out and buy a bag of M&M's to celebrate.
p.s. if I am wrong about the date.....and this isn't the birthday of the first post.........then just call those men that have a nifty white jacket....and have me hauled away to a nice padded room. But make sure the "guys" are cute!!
Judy, I can't believe you remembered that. Thank you. I had forgotten about the date. It has been fun, and all the members joining in has been great. The friends, seeing the quilts and all the new ideas. It has been a wonderful year.
This is awesome!! Thank you Mike and Sue for getting this started! You all are hero's!! I am so thankful for all the wonderful friendships that I have made here...and know they will last a lifetime!!
But this has been a great site. It's family on the net! LOL........I always know if I can't reach Booper than I can get on here and get the love and friendship I need............A huge THANKS to Sue and Mike!
