HELP HELP with Ironing!!

Hi friends

I sew with 100% cotton and also cotton flannel for my baby quilts.I dont have a huge home or sewing room so I have to store all my fabric yardage folded.  Some I have had well over a year, some more.  I went to use some of the cute flannel for baby quilts and I caNNOT iron out the FOLDS!!!!I have a brand new Rowenta Professional iron.  I use steam settting, have sprayed with water, Magic Sizing and the Faultless starch.  It appears to iron the wrinkle out but once it cools and I move it around you can still see where the fold was.

HELP!  Any tips?  I have heard use vinegar but not sure how?????  WHAT WILL WORK???!?!?!?!

I think I know how to fix this

Well first I have been told that the spray starch will attracted bugs. Mostly in humid climate. So if you used the starch you should wash the quilt when you are done working on it.

To get the wrinkles out you should wash the material in warm soapy water r, then dry and fabric on the same fold that it was on the bolt. Always fold loosely. Then iron.

Flannel should be washed before making any quilt.

i never wash flannel or

i never wash flannel or ANYTHING prior to washing.  never had a problem.  I have problems with wrinkles with the cotton too.  THe folds wont always go away even with a good iron.  ANyone know about ironing with vinegar???

Never tried vinegar

I don't know anything about vinegar.

I wish I could help, just have no idea how to fix your problem. Sorry.

I have tried vinegar

I've used white vinegar on crease lines when letting down hems, etc. and it works great!  I'd try that on any fold lines that won't come out with a steam iron.

did anything ever work?

I wondered if you solved your problem yet.   Did you consider that Downy spray Wrinkle Eraser?   You spray it on and tug and the wrinkles come out.  Ok..I will admit I was very skeptical of this product......but I tried it on T-shirts that we didn't put through the dryer that were REALLY wrinkled.   The darn thing worked.
