Okay, any normal quilter (you knew I wasn't normal all this time!! LOL) would figure out that her quarter inch seams weren't coming out correct because her needle position was off!!!!!  DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I visited the quilt store today to return that darn magnetic seam piece, which was a waste, and the lady there sold me a NEW 1/4" seam foot for my machine, which has a seam guide on it, as well as a larger opening, so that you can adjust the needle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Heavenly!!!!!!   And it took teaching a 4 year old (my Great niece) Gracie, how to quilt!  She was the recipient of the Hannah Montana quilt last month, and decided she wanted to make a blanket for her baby doll, and could she please??????  Oh Lordy, I have a tough enough time teaching myself, but away we went, and here she is proudly holdling her babydoll quilt, that she sat on my lap and sewed (we didn't worry about seams, since I was fooling around with the needle position and my new 1/4" seam foot!!)

How wonderful is that??

Looks like she did a terrific job on her quilt.  And you are teaching another generation to quilt.  That is kewl.  Keep up the great work.  Hugs

I think I need to explore other feet for my machine my 1/4 inch feet have the needle hole too small for adjusting. Your niece's quilt turned out great!

for the nice comments!  It was alot of fun to have Gracie, decide what colors she wanted the blocks to be, and sit on my lap and push the fabric!!  WE had alot of fun, next time she wants to make a big blanket!!

Fun day

What a fun day sewing with a special person, and not caring about all the hang ups adults have like a 1/4 inch seam. Just letting things be the way they are. Gracie is a real cutie. It would be really hard not to give her a hundred kisses. This makes my heart very happy. Enjoy
