These pictures represent the fouth quilt block exchange. I have done 12 blocks so far. I am going to make this quilt for my husband for Christmas. I am going to need lots more after the exchange, so I have done/and will do more. Hubby is 6'6" so it needs to be big enough for him to cover up on those cold winter afternoons.
These blocks have lots of seams that need to be matched. Seems like it should be simple enough....but they are a bear!!! I have so many more to make, and to be honest, I am not looking forward to it. Well at least not right now. I need a break. Worked on these guys for about 7 hours today.
Judy, it looks really nice. I am so loving this one. It's a great pattern for anyone. Keep on sewing! LOL!
Sorry I missed you on face book. Jim had me hop to another page so I missed you :(
Your blocks are great! Looks like fun and I love the colors......take a tea break and M&M7M break......you deserve it!
haha......you know I sure hope I picked jewel tones. I am not dripping with diamonds and jewels.....I can only hope that the colors are ok. I had to use my imagination
I took SEVERAL M7M breaks... took and ice cream break......chewed on some salt water taffy too. It was a junk food day! I watched three movies while I sewed. I did buy more black fabric so I can make....soooooo many more blocks. Wouldn't it just be easier to chop my husband's legs off? somewhat illegal maybe....but it would save me the trouble of making this a jumbo quilt. But then again....it is good to have someone tall around the house, when you need something off the top pantry shelf or kitchen cupboard.
psst.....all my facebook and AOQ friends. please don't say anything about this quilt on my facebook page....hubby would see it, and we want it to be a surprise.
Sooooooo.....can we discuss the method you're considering for shortening his legs on facebook???
One of my all-time favorite quilting magazines is Mark Lipinski's Quilter's Home. I read that baby from cover to cover each time it comes and never fail to laugh out loud at at least one of the articles. One of my all-time favorite "tips" from the mag is the use of magic marker to fix those misbehaving points. Hmmm....probably better than risking jail time for chopping off hubby's legs. :-)
