This block will become a large wallhanging with my other kalediscope blocks. This is made with about 20 different materials. It is a real surprise when you sew the last seam, because you have no idea how it will look. It's so much fun.

Wow Sue! This one is

Wow Sue! This one is stunning!

Thanks

I think this one is my favorite.

Love this quilt!

The pattern, colors & effects are beautiful in this!! I'm just now beginning to look at members' galleries. I'm just on page 2 of yours. These are so inspiring. Thanks!

I definitely want to get "Creative American Quilting Inspired by the Bible" that you recommend. That sounds very interesting. I recently did a presentation at Toastmasters about the influence of quilting on American history. That was a great subject to research. I never knew there were so many stories to share. Of course, I brought a few sample quilts in to show which put me 'over my time limit' with the questions that followed. But, it was quite fun!

WOW

It's gorgeous!

Thanks

You can see all of them if you go to my profile. I have made several, now to put them in a quilt, that is the big problem.

Kaledscope pattern

Sue, I love this block!! The colors, and pattern is so striking.Teal is my favorite color and I will be going to your profile to see all of them. If I am not too late. You seem to be passionate about this type of block and the star. I forget what the real name of the star you called it.  But this is one of my favorites. Beautiful

Sue

Your block is beautiful -  Where did you hang it??

Thanks

This is only one of the blocks that will somehow go in a quilt with the other kaleidoscopes I have made. Paula Nadelstern is who was my teacher. I have taken w different week long classes from her with learning a different technique with each class. She has also become a friend, long distance, but a friend.  If you want to see more about her here is her web site. www.paulanadelstern.com  This is really a lot of fun once you learn how to do it. The star quilt that is the lesson, is based on how she does things.

I also make a quilt for her with her new line of material and get her material in exchange. She has a new line coming out in a few months. I will put the quilt top up when I do it.

If you ever can, you really need to take a class from her, she will open your eyes up to looking at blocks differently. As you can tell, I really like her, and doing the kaleidoscopes.
