Here are some of the things I have been working on.
The quilt is a Downy Quilts for Kids. They send you a precut kit free and you supply the batting and thread. The backing they sent makes the quilt reversible. The finished quilts go to critically ill children in hospitals around the U.S.
The second quilt was a Mystery Quilt I got online. A friend named it Sherbet surprise.
Donna. these are wonderful! I love the colors of the one on the bottom!!!
Judy,
Thanks. I was very pleased with it. It was an Agatha and Sherlock mystery quilt from Homespun Hearth. So, I got most of the material and the cutting directions the first week, then more directions each week. I didn't know exactly what I was going to wind up with until I was almost done! I was horrified when I did realize that it had stars...which have points...points and I don't get along. But I did managed not to cut off or sew in at least 50% of them! ;-) I didn't care for the material they included for the border, and I wanted it larger, so hubby and I and 3 people at Patricia's quilt shop in Rochester searched for the perfect thin border and larger border material (they were so kind)....I think it worked out well.
haaha.....thank you for being human...............I loved when you said Points and you don't get along........................Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who lops off the points.
I just knew we had a lot in common!!! ;-)
Donna, these quilts are beautiful. I, too, love the bottom one. What gorgeous colors! Love your border fabric.
Donna, they are great! I like them all. But I gotta say, I am partial to pinks and purples......and I to lop the points! LOL....
This are great, I am so glad that you posted them. I love seeing what others are doing. It gives me ideas. Members are all over the country so it gives us an idea what people or doing in other areas. Besides it gets me to sew to see others done.
Thanks for the kind words Sue. I agree with you, I like to see what everyone else has been up to, it tends to spur me on! AND gives me more ideas to add to my "to do" list.
