Does the lack of response

Does the lack of response mean no one is having any problems? I know I'm not.

No I think your dead on, and

No I think your dead on, and I think the site is taking off... but we do see things, and move things, and find better ways to do things.  More and more we find small tweaks that make huge differences.  I am neither glad nor sad no one is answering this, because as you mentioned people seem to love the site:)  I hope it continues to expload.  Also, GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN Linda, the computer must be working again!  I am sure you will find our new members so much fun.  So many new Nice people I cant beleive it.  My Mom is off to a quilt class, she will be back Monday and I am sure will comment a storm up!

I love our members,

Thank you all so much for your support.  We made this site FOR you and it sure has been tough to see it move so slow sometimes!

I hope my computer problems

I hope my computer problems are over! The new one seems to be working fine. It is Vista so we have had to find programs on the internet to make our printer/scanner, and everything else we have, work.

The reason I have been missing a lot lately is because I am on a job hunt. It has been taking up a lot of my time. It is so hard when you haven't been working full-time in a long long time!! They don't seem to look at running a household as worth anything!!

no 2 cents....LOL

I spent my last two cents on fabric last week...I love the site. It is full of exciting ladies who share the same passion I have for quilting, sewing and just loving to goof off. Not being afraid to chatter on the computer. I keep finding new ideas and my brain is in over load even more. Being new maybe I missed it but what are the points for? I have a habit of jumping in on something and then reading the rules...LOL...life seems to be more exciting that way. Just wandered. I really like that we can pull up memebers to see where they all are at in the USA. It's always exciting to see how close we are to each other and how things are going on the other side of the states. Especially someplace we may have lived for a while. I always want to know about Washington State. Lived there for 4 years and loved it. About the only thing I can come up with would be spell check?? Am I blind? I don't see it up there on the menu bar,and I am not the worlds best spelling bee. Just wandered. But I can give this site a big 10 and I for one love it!!

Points and Spealing Check

Points just keep track of the activity you do.  Its a way we can tell and rank users.  We will also be using them as a requirement for the free pattern.

Spealing check is something I really want and wil be working on it as soon as some of the other big fish to fry are done.

One of our goals for the

One of our goals for the site was to have a Profile for you to represent your Hobbie.  You can share this profile by going to "My Profile" copy the Address (the http://) and then post it on another site, in chat, or give to your friends so they can see your quilt.  The Profile and your quilts do not require users to register on the site to see your work.  We did this so that you can have your own web pages that repressent all the things you do as a person.

Peoples first encounter with this page.

This website is great, but I would'nt know it if I was a random person who found allourquilts on a search engine.

It is just that on the home page, there is no way to know if there is any good content under the hood that makes it worth creating an account for. Of course after creating an account one finds quite a delightfully laid out resource.

Perhaps it is set up this way on purpose, so members invite members, and you don't end up with a bunch of riff raff.

The Reason

The Reason for this was to force people to register the site to see the quilts and the rest of it.  For the most part it has been successfull.  Once you get people to register its easy for them to step up and add comments and contribute.  We also allow people to link their individual profiles, and people can see thoose profiles without having to create an account.  So after you have added all your quilts, you can tell people where to see your quilts and they do not have to register.

Before we didnt require registration, and the users would come on, look at all the quilts then not participate anymore.

Hope this explains it,

Mike

What I like about this site?

Lynnielee

This site is ours, We can get ahold of someone who knows what were talking about, with a quilting problem or any other problem. Mike and Sue are very helpful. I just enjoy coming here. My computer has been down, too. Must be in the water.lol

Definately Yours

This is YOUR home.  Its not mine, or My Moms (Sue), but ALL OF YOURS!  We want to meet YOUR needs.  It makes me happy to help provide a place that can enhance your quilting Experiance.  Therefor, I can not express this enough, make this site YOUR HOME!  If you want a the Coffee Maker Moved from the current location, to a new location, please tell us, and we will do our best to meet your needs as long as it helps people use our site without thinking so much (aka making things intuitive)!

We have been talking about the Stores section.  We have over 1,000 verified stores that we will be adding to our database.  That should allow people to find most of the quilting stores for any location you want.  I hope this helps people find the Quilting Shops they need when they are traveling to help them look and find the places they want.  I also have noticed a few other things (such as Events), which doesnt display the Events section on the main home page correctly.

Mike

Thank you for your comments

Your comments are very helpful. We do need to know what people think and what they would like to see here. Mostly the problems and if things are not clear. It is wonderful to hear what you like.

Only thing I see....

Strong coffee in the morning and then ice tea the rest of the day. Color me a caffeine freak!

Hmmmmm........Mike a coffee bar might actually be almost as important as the spell checker. Very reluctantly, I'll put the spell checker as number one and the coffe bar as number two, although my bloodstream begs to differ!
