Updated my UFO List

in

I decided that I should make a list, so I don't get more projects when I go to the quilt shops.

I listed them with Projects in planning, Have Material only, work in progress, need to make label, basting the quilt, hand or machine quilting.

This way I know where I am in all my projects. This makes things clearer for me.

I have 25 projects that are all at different stages. Some in need some material for, and then others need to quilt. A very interesting list. Hopefully it will keep me on track.

Here are the blocks so far from the Farmer's Wife quilt book.  We meet once a month, and do four blocks in class, (or finish them at home if we don't finish in class) and then we get bonus block homework.  All the bright green and blue labels are the names of the blocks, it will make it easier when I go to place them, to have the names.  I think the book has over 100 blocks.   We are only half way through the class.  I am trying to do shades of blue and white fabric.  The overall theme of the fabric is stars, although some of the fabrics are just a ma

This is 1 of the steps of making this quilt come alive

This is a quilt that I took a picture of a mission in California when we were there last year. I loved it and wanted to make a quilt from it.

So I took a 3 day class from Natalie Sewell, You may have seen her on sewing with Nancy. The class was great, I meet some wonderful people. I put the UPC of her book, so maybe that way you would know who she is.

This is how far I got in the class, I have done some at home. Will keep you posted of the progress. It is really fun to do.

I am making this for my granddaughter.  I need to add an outer border but not sure what fabric I'm going to use.  I have a blue floral that I'm thinking about, but not sure yet.

This is the 'main' quilt pattern.

This quilt has wool batting & was quilted by my local quilt shop. I bought a bed skirt in the tan color & it matches the quilt 'tan' perfectly. I was lucky. Also, made some matching pillows that aren't pictured here but use several of the same quilt fabrics.

Dogs love quilts & having a pillow too!

Hi to everyone! I've been busy with making quilts & accessories for "Pampered Pet Quilts", my small business to make a bit of income & cover my supply costs at a minimum! The good news is that I'll have a great store location starting the 15th, in a town that is high-end and where there are lots of animal lovers. I hope this will be real positive for sales & to become known for making these 'custom' pet items.

I made him a quilt for his wall, with Winnie the Pooh material. His mom loves Winnie the Pooh.
