This is a UFO!  Well, my UFO... I guess!  In September 2007 my neighbor asked me if I wanted to take quilting classes in Snowhill  MAryland. SHe has a house in Va. and we could stay there, I was excited to go since I had nevered quilted before. My neighbor said she would help me since she had been quilting for  7 years or so,   So I buy the book, read it several times, picked the fabric sat , cut and  labeled all material for the different blocks.

These blocks are leftover from baby quilts I made for my best friend's twin granddaughters.  I wish I had pictures of the quilts but they went out so fast, i forgot to take pictures of them.  I finished them just in time for the baby shower (seems I work best under pressure!  LOL)   I used pink sashings on one and lavender on the other.  She loved them and wanted to hang one on the wall, but then she would only have one to use so I offered to make her a wall hanging to match and she jumped at that!

I took a class from Carol Doak, She has published several books on paper piecing. What a wonderful class, I learned so much and we had so much fun. Several laughs during the day and some beautiful blocks were made. As you can see from the picture we were in a wonderful lodge that you would never know is very close to the city. We ate lunch outside even with the temperature being in the 60's.

There are 4 blocks that go into this quilt. It is a great looking quilt when I get it done.

If you ever get a change you need to take a class from Carol it was a true joy.

DONE!

Some did not show up as dark as they should be. Not sure why. Light from the window? Maybe because of the dark blocks close to the lighter green blocks. But they are done and going out on Monday
