Hi,

Welcome to the web site, and we are happy to have you join us. We will not throw you out, but hopefully get you back to finishing some of these.

There is always something going on here. Members posting new projects all the time. Learning from each other, are second block exchange that you could join in on. Of course the lessons for the star quilt which is always an on going event. Some people are talking about a retreat. Venting, when we have problems with quilting and life. We are also making blocks to be put together to raise money for cancer.

Mike (admin, also my son) is working on adding a chat room here. There will always be new additions to the site.

We have a wonderful time, and hope that you feel like you can add to the group.If you have any questions, all of us are here to help. At first you may not understand how everything works. You can also you contact us, but sometimes it maybe just a easy to ask all of us on any of the simple questions. We are here to help you enjoy this site as much as we can.

Star block for a Christmas sampler I am working on.

Hi all.  Like John (New Guy), I belonged to another group.  In fact, I think it was the same group.  The constant bickering, overlording and drama, not to mention the lack of anything quilting related, was waaay too much.  I am looking forward to this site especially since I see a section for quilting type discussions and for the non quilting stuff.  What a great way to let the two halves live together in harmony!  I am especially looking forward to all of the help from the more experienced quilters.  I want to soak up as much as I can to be a be

Suzie's Quilt

Suzie's Quilt is for my sister, Suzie, who taught me to quilt last year while she recovered from a bilateral mastectomy.  She's one of my biggets heroines!!!

Scrappy Windmills was the first quilt I made.  Suzie let me go through her 'stash' to find the fabrics.  I swear I thought my dear sis was on drugs when she told me she had a huge stash.  I didn't even know she smoked!   Welcome to the wonderful world of quilters and their lingo, huh?!?
