I clicked on your Old Glory Quilt Shop and found your interest in the Underground Railroad. I have and interest in the RR but have found very little on what each block or quilt really meant in order to direct the travelers. Do you have more information or internet sites that you find authentic. I would like to see some of the work from your students and learn the meaning of the blocks. So awesome that the quilts are made with reproduction prints.
I like the tradition of quilting and prefer to hand piece and quilt, I would think my preference in building a quilt would fit right in with reproductions. The sad thing about my methods is that not many get done as they are time consuming.
I have a sampler that is a double bed size that I need to 'get back out' and finis, all hand pieced and quilted. Before that will happen I plan to piece together a lone star design in the shape of a bald eagle to present to my son who is currently working on his Eagle in Boy Scouts.
I reside in New York State and will frequent your website regularly.

Welcome,
What a great write up? You sound like you really enjoy life. I have found that most quilters do. They are always active with not only quilting, but so many other things. I look forward to getting to know you better.
